• Demonstrate competence in reading, writing, and comparing whole numbers through one million.
• Understand the relationship between multiplication and division: multiply two-, three-, and four-digit numbers by one-digit and two-digit numbers; divide by one-digit divisors.
• Demonstrate mastery of multiplication and division facts through 12 x 12.

1. Use multiple strategies to solve world problems, and explain how the problem was solved.
2. Identify geometric figures; polygons, quadrilaterals, congruent figures, symmetry, and employ formulas to determine perimeter and area of a polygon.
3. Identify and measure angles. 

• Year long study focuses on world and local food resources and the distribution of healthy, plentiful, and sustainable food throughout the world.
• Topics covered include renewable and nonrenewable resources, world population, food equity, and large and small scale food systems.
• Research projects are conducted to develop research and presentation skills.
• Class participates in a field trip to Appleton Farm.
• Geography topics cover continents/oceans, latitude/longitude, and political/physical/thematic map skills.

Reading

Coding
