Hello from Tower.

January 10, 2019
Dear Tower Families,

Happy New Year and welcome back. I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. Tower is already back in full swing and the hallways are abuzz with activity.

As I briefly touched on before break, the Board of Trustees has engaged Carney Sandoe to partner with us once again on our Head of School search. Our consultant Bob Fricker is busy sharing our story in the marketplace and speaking with potential candidates. We are pleased to hear there are a number of strong candidates that he is excited to present to the school in the coming months.

We are committed to creating opportunities for important collaboration and invite all parents to participate in the process. Although fast approaching, the first opportunity is coming up next week as scheduling allows Bob Fricker and his associate, Lisa Parsons, to visit Tower. They will be meeting with parents, teachers, administrators and Board members to involve and educate the community as well as further understand the current needs of the school and any changes since they ran the process two years ago.

Parents are invited to meet with Bob and Lisa on Monday, January 14, 6–7pm, and Tuesday, January 15, 8–9am, in Tower's Phillips Library.

As before, our committee consists of nine members, the majority of which were on the search committee that selected Tim. I'm pleased to announce that Jeff Carter will co-chair the committee with me. Below is a full committee list:

Gillian Andrews: 4th grade teacher, Co-Chair of 2016 AISNE Accreditation Renewal Team

Leila Blodgett: Trustee, Board Chair, Search Committee Co-Chair, Parent of Alumni

Kate Bracken '92: Trustee, Alumna, Parent

Becky McKernan: Trustee, Parent, Parent of Alumnus

Brad Robie '88: Trustee, Alumnus, Parent

We anticipate the following timeline:

We will be thoughtful in our work and will keep you informed throughout the process, including opportunities for further involvement.
