A Blended Approach to Teaching Our Youngest Learners

Tower's Beginners curriculum blends a play-based, Reggio-inspired pedagogy with a nature-based, multi-disciplinary curriculum model. The Responsive Classroom curriculum provides children with a solid, social-emotional foundation. This approach builds continuity with our Pre-Kindergarten curriculum.

Play is the vehicle for learning.

Multi-disciplinary learning combines writing, reading, counting, designing, story-telling, testing, problem-solving, questioning and communicating.

The Beginners Program:

  • Promotes a love for school and learning
  • Provides a joyful, welcoming, safe, nurturing environment
  • Creates a place to belong, a classroom community where we learn and practice to work cooperatively
  • Inspires joy, kindness, compassion, and inclusion
  • Helps children to develop confidence and independence
  • Develops and strengthens self-help skills
  • Builds a foundation of interdisciplinary skills
