Long-term plans for facility and campus development have been a focus of Tower's Board of Trustees for decades. In 1993, Tower purchased the first of eight properties adjacent to the school, and in 2006, a Facilities Master Plan was created as a guide for future investment and expansion. The current campus expansion project is in keeping with the Master Plan.
Tower's Campus Expansion Project is underway. We're replacing 5 of the school-owned properties with an off-street carpool loop, 34 parking spaces along the loop, plus green space and landscaping.
The project includes improved safety and traffic flow within the neighborhood and along West Shore Drive.
In 2014, we renovated one of the houses to become a home for our Head of School, an investment that not only provides long-term financial savings but also provides additional event and meeting space for the school.
In 2007, after the completion of a new Facilities Master Plan, we used the first of the properties to allow for the building of the new Upper School and Performing Arts Center.
