3rd Grade National Parks Presentation

Today, students in Tower's third grade classes complete their final projects in the National Parks unit. They display their much-anticipated representations of a unique, geological feature of their park, along with a Keynote presentation and poster. Great work everyone!

14th Continental Glover's Regiment Visited Third Grade

Students in Tower's third grade classes study Massachusetts history, and were treated to a visit by the 14th Continental Glover's Marblehead Regiment. The students learned about the clothing the men wore, the weapons they carried and the (many!) steps required to ready their firearms for battle.

Recitation Day

Each year, student representatives from each grade demonstrate their public speaking skills by reciting poetry on stage to an enthusiastic audience of students, parents and faculty members.

Kindergarten Play

Kindergarten students paint the set, help to assemble their costumes, learn their lines and practice timing and delivery. They are proud to share their performing arts skills with the whole school at assembly.

Second Grade Author's Tea

Second Grade students host Tower's annual Author's Tea in the library and Performing Arts Center. Students practice their public speaking skills—speaking clearly, maintaining a steady pace, making eye contact with the audience, and speaking with inflection.

Ms. Thomson's students selected and illustrated their favorite piece of writing from the year, and Mrs. Perrella's students wrote and illustrated their own books, inspired by Laura Joffe Numeroff's "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Mrs. Perrella's students' books were published on their iPads and presented to their parents.

The presentations were followed by a reception of tea, fruit and muffins.

Snowman Building

Community Events Co-Chairs Mindy Gyllenborg and Paige Hamilton hosted an afterschool Snowman Building Contest in the athletic field...complete with hot cocoa and marshmallows!

Tower Students Visit Their Friends at The Harrington School and surprise them with gifts of books.
