Eighth grader Seth Harrell was featured on the front page of the sports section of the Jan. 12 Swampscott Reporter in an article entitled, “Harrell among youth football royalty.” Seth was nominated by his Marblehead Youth Football coach to take part in the Football University program. As captain and quarterback of Team Massachusetts, he travelled to Dallas to take part in the national tournament after his team captured the Northeast title . “They didn’t win a game in the national tourney, but competed well with Texas and Kentucky. Not bad for a middle school fall,” the article reported.

Fourth grader Max MacAuliffe was profiled in a November issue of the Salem News for spearheading an organization called "High Five 4 WiFi" to collect used wireless laptops for children in need. The article states: “Max said he was moved by newspaper articles about homeless children sheltered in Danvers motel rooms with not much to do. Max also realized how fortunate he was to be able to play games and zip around the Internet using an iPad after school.” Click here to read the article on Max.

Seventh grader Alexis Sher was featured on the "Rock Star Donor" on the blog of Soles4Souls, an organization that provides shoes to people in need around the world. For her Bat Mitzvah service project Alexis raised $5,000 and collected 385 pairs of shoes for the organization.
