Head's Welcome

For one hundred years, Tower School has provided a distinctive and excellent educational program for students in grades pre-k through eight. Teachers at Tower hold students to very high standards for academic performance and personal conduct. We are also a happy place where students interact with each other and their teachers with camaraderie, spirit, and joy.

Our program’s great strength is that we integrate contemporary and traditional approaches to education. In 2011, we introduced a Tablet Computer Program in which every student and teacher in grades 3-8 was equipped with his or her own iPad. Tower stands as a leader in seizing the opportunities of this new technology platform.

Still, we remain committed to a comprehensive program that prepares students to learn well, to think clearly, to be creative, and to participate actively and contribute eagerly to the world of which they are a part. The arts and athletics are essential parts of our daily lives.

We are a purposefully small school – just under 300 students – and so we have a distinctively student-centered environment. We believe that students learn best when they are part of a community where they are known and where they are taught by teachers they trust and admire. Tower is committed to the development of good citizenship in our students. We care about character, good will, and decency.
