Summer Reading and Math 2017-2018

Below you will find the Summer Reading List and Summer Math/IXL requirements. Summer work provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn to pace their work to establish an achievable timeline throughout the summer.

Summer Reading

Please click here to download the summer reading list for Pre-K–Grade 8. Be sure to read the books for the grade that your child will be entering in the fall.

Summer Math - IXL

Tower utilizes  IXL, an interactive math website, that allows for independent work, and instant assessment, including tools for teachers to monitor student progress. Current Tower students have an existing account, including a username and a password with which they can access IXL. Parents of Lower School students should reference communication from their child's teachers regarding the use of IXL, and the recommended number of hours of study, as recommendations vary by grade.

Username:   student's first initial, followed by last name
Password:    student's first initial, followed by last initial

Example:     Peter Walsh
Username:   pwalsh
Password:    pw

Students must be logged in to IXL for their work to be recorded. If you have difficulty logging in to IXL, please email Kelly Klocker for assistance.

Parents of Lower School students should reference communication from their child's teachers for the recommended number of hours of study of IXL in the grade just completed.

Our Upper School summer math program requires each student to complete a minimum of eight hours of IXL in the grade just completed.
