An Investment in Education
For many families, an independent school education represents a significant investment in their children's future. We believe that Tower's unique educational philosophy, that stresses both critical and creative thinking, develops well-rounded children whose academic success is fueled by creative exploration and expression.
We encourage families to explore the value of a Tower education, regardless of their ability to afford the entire tuition. Our tuition assistance program helps to make a Tower education a reality for families within a wide economic range.
Tuition Payment Options
Families may choose one of the following payment options:
Plan 1: Payment in full
Plan 2: Four quarterly payments due June 1, September 1, December 1, and March 1
Plan 3: Ten monthly payments June 1- March 1
Tuition covers books, school supplies, iPads for every student in grades 3-8, curriculum materials, field trips, overnight trips, morning snack, drama, athletics and athletic uniforms, and yearbook. School bus transportation from Nahant, Lynn, Swampscott and Salem is provided at no additional cost.
Facts about Tuition Assistance at Tower
More than 30% of the students at Tower receive financial-need-based tuition assistance. During the 2017-2018 school year, Tower provided more than $1.8 million in assistance to the families of 90 students. The average tuition assistance award per student is 60% of the total tuition.

Apply for Tuition AssistancePlease follow the instructions below to apply for Tuition Assistance. If you have any questions, contact Dean Sidell, Tower School's Associate Head of School, and CFO.
1. Visit NAIS/SSS online, and complete the Parent Financial Statement (PFS).
Tower School's Code for SSS is 7696.
2. Gather the following forms:
2017 W-2 forms for both parents, and
2017 Tax Return (include all schedules).
If your 2017 taxes are not complete, please use your 2016 return. Tuition assistance grants will be finalized when we receive your 2017 tax return.

Parents may begin the application process as early as November 1, 2017. All documents must be received by SSS on or before February 1, 2018, to be considered for March notification. Applications received after this time will be considered when complete.
